FRENCH CHAMOIS GRAND SLAM

In the same way  of the Ibex Slam in Spain, in France we can get 4 different chamois. 4 are recognized from GSCO (Alpine, Chartreuse, Vercors and Pyrenean)  and are part of the Capra Slam, and 3 of them are in the SCI trophy list. But, hunting chamois are much more than to put the cross in the list. In our opinion, chasing this smart animal, who has not an impressive trophy but an amazing beauty, is the most challenging mountain game you can practice in France and we can say in Europe as well. The stunning landscapes of the Pyrenees and the Alps, surrounded with high altitude meadows, alpine forest, rocky mountains, beautiful lakes, picturesque villages and friendly people is the perfect scenario of the great adventure you will experience. The challenge will start in Pyrenees, with the amazing Pyrenean chammy. We will welcome you in Barcelona Airport and transfer to a charming hotel in the middle of the mountains. We will spend 2 days hunting the smaller but the most beautiful chamois of the trip. After that, we will move to the Alps, where we will stay for one week hunting Chartreuse, Vercors and Alpine chamois. 3 different ranges with different particularities. In Chartreuse, we can visit the famous monastery, where the worldwide famous liquor is produced. Vercors range is an amazing  place, isolated from Chartreuse for the Isere valley, the altitude is about 1500 to 2000 mts. Finally, we will go to the Alps for the last chammy of the group. Your departure airport will be Lyon or Nice, depending of the availability of alpine chamois licenses. During the trip you will enjoy the famous French cuisine and wines, the culture, the architectonic heritage and the kindness of our guides and support staff.
